	When Benton went to war and Joanne heard that Sherman's army was coming, she put her silverware and jewelery in large glass jars and buried them in the yard, then planted daffodils over them. When she finally returned home from her parents house after her husband was killed, the entire yard was covered in daffodils. The jars were neve found.
